Reflecting on an incredible experience at MoneyLIVE Summit 2024!

As the curtains close on this year’s summit at the QEII Centre in London, I am filled with gratitude and inspiration. It was an honor to participate in the “Platform Economy in Banking” panel, alongside esteemed colleagues like Jakub Malach from Raiffeisen Digital Bank , Carolyne Gregory from Lloyds Banking Group, Nadesh Sithambaram from Santander, and Julien Defossé from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

We had enriching discussions about the evolving banking landscape, diving deep into platform-based strategies, role of the partner hashtag#ecosystem, direct and indirect hashtag#API hashtag#monetization models, and the emergence of new, hashtag#customercentric business models. The exchange of ideas about subscription services, hashtag#whitelabelbanking, and the agility of banking in the digital age was truly engaging.

The event was not just about discussions; it was a valuable opportunity for networking, sharing experiences, and learning from peers. The insights on how banking is transforming and adapting to a platform-driven economy were particularly impactful.

With 850+ participants, the MoneyLIVE Summit is one of the largest industry events. In the last two days, I’ve been on stage with so many great people, and I’m still exhilarated by our discussions on hashtag#OpenBanking business models together with Jonas Vogt Rasmussen and Saira Khan and cracking the code of hashtag#ContextualFinance together with Jeroen Plag and Aman Virk.

But I also had exciting conversations off stage. Finding new hashtag#usecases is all about talking to people from other sectors and developing solutions together. Events like these are the basis for hashtag#innovative thinking, and it is essential to be open to different opinions anytime and anywhere.

All my conversational partners are true experts in their fields, and I can’t wait to hear more of what they think about an open hashtag#ecosystem and hashtag#datasharing. For those who were not able to attend, I would like to summarize my three most important key takeaways:

🕯 The way of delivering banking products and services is changing rapidly. Many products are getting discovered via partner portals and ecosystem players.

🕯 Banks do not own the client data; clients do. Value-added banking products and client-oriented services are key to grow in competition.

🕯 Offering the right product to the right customer at the right time through the right channel is the key to success. The focus on banking functionalities should be around API Banking, and data capabilities must be around micro-segmentation and data activation.

MoneyLIVE Summit is back, and I am excited to announce that I will be joining two panels as a speaker! The event will take place on 8-9 March 2023 at the QEII Centre in hashtag#London.

The first panel, “Open Banking Business Models” will take place on March 8th at 2:55pm. I will be speaking alongside Sebastien Devoivre, Senior Innovation Officer at Societe Generale, Saira Khan, Head of Innovation and Partnerships at first direct, and Jonas Vogt R., Head of Banking Solution Sales at Aiia, a Mastercard Company (a Mastercard company).

The second panel, “Cracking the Code of Contextual Finance” will take place on March 9th at 9:50am. I will be speaking alongside Jeroen Plag, Global Head of Strategy at ING, and Aman Virk, Customer Transformation Senior Director at Salesforce.
